3 Thrones Concert: What does nudity have to do with this music concert?

The Game of Thrones 'walk of shame' scene reenacted at the 3 Thrones Concert

Nudity further adds to the confusion of the Game of Thrones theme at the '3 Thrones Concert'.

The thing about concepts or ideas is that we think that they are good in our heads until we actualize them and find out they suck.

I am pretty sure that whoever came up with the idea of the '3 Thrones Concert' that took place on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Eko Hotel & Suites, must have thought the idea was on point.

To be honest,  having a concert headlined by Phyno, Tiwa Savage and Davido isn't a bad idea even though the 'Game of Thrones' concept was cheesy. The concert would have done fine without attaching Game of Thrones to it really. Not everything needs a deep concept behind it.

And speaking about the HBO hit show, please Nigerian concert organizers should come up with something different. The GOT concept has been overplayed. We like the TV series and that's it. We do not like a concert that pretends to be an extension of it.

Now, back to '3 Thrones Concert'. Before the concert, some bright minds decided to reenact the famous 'walk of shame' that had Cersei Lannister show off her birthday suit to the whole of King's Landing.

The organizers used three Nigerians with albinism as monks who walked with a nude lady sprayed in gold paint. This didn't look anything like a scene from Game of Thrones. It looked like a scene concocted by a film marketer in Idumota.

First of all, if you must copy then copy well. Clearly, this is not a brilliant copy or adaptation of the original scene. Secondly, what does the walk of shame have to do with a music concert? How does the concept of shame tie into the concept of three thrones? Absolutely nothing.

When Jay Z had his 9/11 memorial concert in 2009, the band of the New York Fire Department sang the national anthem at the beginning of the show. Earlier, a mini-documentary about the 9/11 attack was shown on screen. These two things synced into the rapper's big picture of giving back to the city.

Whoever thought that a walk of shame made sense lost the script. Then to make matters worse a topless chubby woman did a painting of Tiwa Savage on stage. What does this have to do with anything?

The organizers of this concert blatantly used nudity for shock value and not for any deep concept or idea. Like I said, ideas are good in your mind, but in reality, not all of them make sense in real life.
