Biola Alabi: M-net ex-boss to mentor youths in ‘Grooming For Greatness’

Biola Alabi has concluded plans to mentor over 12 youths for a period of 12 months to hone their leadership skills through a special curriculum.

Former boss at M-net Nigeria and Africa Magic, Biola Alabi has announced her readiness to mentor 12 youths in the annual youth training sessions, Grooming for Greatness.

Just as the inaugural session rounds up, Alabi, who founded the session has declared the application for the second season open.

 

Speaking on the milestone, Alabi said: "I am super excited about the opportunities we are creating for young Africans. I can’t wait to meet the amazing young men and women that will apply this year"

The foundation, which launched its year-long leadership and mentorship program in 2015, has produced 12 Fellows that include Actress, Tomi Odunsi; TalentBase CEO, Chika Uwazie; Lifebank Founder, Temie Giwa-Tubosun; inspiredbyglory CEO, Glory Edozien.

For the 2016/2017 Program, Alabi and her associates are billed to mentor a group of no more than 12 handpicked participants, who will spend a year working on a personalised leadership track, one on one leadership development and ongoing mentorship over the course of 12 months.

The goal is to provide participants with skills and tools that can be readily applied to their existing career and business paths and breed a new generation of quality African leaders. Alabi, whose reign at M-net saw the berth of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, is also the brain behind the popular docu-series, Bukas and Joints.

Grooming for Greatness is a youth oriented programme that is committed to working with up and coming leaders to hone their leadership skills through a special curriculum and frequent interactions with professionals and collaborators.
