2 unidentified men were killed by a mob for allegedly stealing an okada.
Two unidentified men lost their lives in Isheri, Lagos over the alleged theft of a commercial bike (okada).
The incident happened at 9:30 pm on Saturday, November 18, 2017, according to the Vanguard at Soliu Azeez of Rubutu Street, in Kudeibu Estate.
An eyewitness Tope Alade, who spoke to Vanguard narrated how the incident occurred. The two men reportedly stole the motorcycle. The victim raised an alarm which attracted the residents of the neighbourhood.
The robbers were quickly caught and lynched before the police arrived.
A source in the police said that the Isheri Oshun Division received a distressed call about the robbery. By the time the officers got there, the bodies of the two alleged culprits were found in the gutter.
Jungle justice is quite popular in Nigeria where everyday people lynch petty thieves as well as armed robbers.
In August 2017, a mob buried a robbery suspect alive in Ebonyi state.
