A Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ikorodu has been murdered by assailants suspected to be Badoo cult members.
A Pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God [RCCG], Victor Kanayo, has been killed by suspected members of the deadly ritual cult gang, Badoo, while his wife and 10-months-old baby were left unconscious.
Total Media reports that the incident happened on Saturday, November 25, 2017, in the Igbogbo area of Ikorodu, Lagos State, where the gang has been having a field day for some years now.
It was gathered that the assailants had cut the iron bars on the window of the bungalow the family lived in before gaining entrance into the house and smashed Pastor Kanayo's head with two big stones which were said to have been found beside him.

The pastor and his family, according to the reports, were the only ones living in the building because the landlord moved out some months ago as a result of increased insecurity in the area.
Confirming the incident in a statement, the Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, SP Chike Oti, says the command has made a couple of arrests and suspects are being questioned with a view to discovering the real culprits behind the dastardly crime.
In the statement, SP Oti said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Edgal Imohimi, has dispatched a team of crack detectives to unravel those behind the murder, dig into the past of the victim and see if there is a correlation between his past and his fate.
Another angle to the story has it that the late Pastor Kanayo could have been killed by another cult gang as residents say he was a cultist before he became a born-again Christian and left the group.
According to a police source, the issue of Pastor Kanayo's past is said to be of interest to the police because of a human skull Tattoo drawn on his left arm.

"The police is trying to look into his past because of the Tatoo because it gives the police the notion that he could have been a cultist before leaving them to become a man of God. We are not looking away from that as well.
It could have been a revenge killing by either members of his gang or a rival gang. The killers could be Badoo members as well but we are digging into it extensively," the police source said.
