Omena revealed that the death of his beloved wife and the ongoing fight against cancer is the "toughest thing" he has ever dealt with in his life.

News reports have revealed the dilemma of a father-of-five who is battling aggressive bowel cancer barely two months after the same disease claimed the life of his wife.

Omena Ubiaro fears that his young boys could be orphaned if they lose both their parents within weeks of one another.

The 38-year-old patient had been battling Stage 4 bowel cancer for two years when his late wife, Makeda was diagnosed with the same disease August 2016.

Makeda, who was 38 at the time, underwent emergency surgery but later died on July 29, 2017.

Her death during Omena's battle with cancer has sparked fear for their children aged from seven to 19, causing friends of the family to launch a fundraising page to support the family.

Omena revealed that the death of his beloved wife and the ongoing fight against cancer is the "toughest thing" he has ever dealt with in his life.

Instablog9ja reports that more than £8,000 has been raised for the ailing father.

In an emotional video filmed from a hospice in Wolverhampton, where Omena is being monitored around the clock, the grieving dad, appearing gaunt and sickly, had this to say:

"I just want to say thank you so much to everybody that has been supporting myself and my family. Recently, myself and my five boys we've just lost my wife, they've lost a mother and I've also lost a best friend as well.

"It's been difficult for the boys, it's been difficult for myself. I cannot lie it has been the toughest thing that a husband and a father's ever had to face or deal with but it's only been easier with support and help from friends."
