In Edo: Cows are disrupting learning in one primary school

Pupils of Ohovbe Model Primary School, Ikpoba, were chased out of their classrooms by the cows.

A video clip showed a herd of cows occupy a classroom, preventing pupils of the school from learning.

A viral video circulating online media has shown a herd of cows invade the premises of Ohovbe Model Primary School, Ikpoba, located in Okha local government area of Edo State.

This disrupted learning as the pupils of the local school were forced to abandon their classrooms due to fear of being attacked by the ruminant animals.

In the clip posted by Instablog9ja today, a man was heard lamenting about the incident which is a clear example of the excesses of herdsmen who are known to lead their cows wherever they please.

There have been reports that some of these herdsmen often unleash violence against residents who challenge their uncontrolled grazing.

In Ekiti State, the government has given its citizens to kill any cow found wandering around in places inhabited by the populace.

This is in response to reports of unprovoked attacks by Fulani herdsmen who have murdered innocent people particularly in the eastern parts of Nigeria.
