According to Sahara Reporters, the demolition job took the traders unawares as many of them who went to the market for their normal business were shocked to see that the structures had been pulled down in the night with their goods and wares destroyed.

Videos posted by Sahara Reporters on their Twitter handle saw the traders wailing uncontrollably with many of them blaming their woes on the state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

The weeping traders were heard raining curses on the Governor whom they said they voted for only for him to turn around and wage war on the poor.
