The woman with others still at large are said to have committed the offences on Nov. 25,2016 at about 1.30 p.m. in Ota.
A 67-year-old woman, Yinka Komolafe, who allegedly threatened to attack two men with some dangerous weapons with others still on the run, was on Thursday brought before an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun.
Komolafe, who resides at No. 26, Oresanya St., Iyana-Ilogbo, Ota, is facing a two-count charge of threat to life and conspiracy.
Police Sgt. Chudu Gbesi told the court that the woman with others still at large committed the offences on Nov. 25,2016 at about 1.30 p.m. in Ota.
According to the prosecutor, the accused conspired with others to threaten Adumaza Raphael and Augustine Amaechi with some dangerous weapons.
The offences contravened Sections 323 and 516 of Criminal Code, Laws of the Federation, 2004. The woman, however, pleaded not guilty.
The Senior Magistrate, Mr S.O. Banwo, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum.Banwo said the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and should also be gainfully employed.
In addition, the sureties should provide an evidence of tax payment to Ogun Government. The case was adjourned until June 22 for hearing.
