The accused was first arraigned in court on February 2, 1016, on a two-count charge of rape and abduction.
A local government worker has been sentenced to life imprisonment by an Ekiti state high court for abducting and raping a 15-year-old girl.
The accused, Ojo Ayodele, reportedly abducted the teenager in Ijero-Ekiti and took her to a secret location.
The Cable reports that the Ayodele subjected the teenager to continuous sexual assault for 21 days.

According to the reports, the victim had been living with her stepmother after her parents got divorced.
The state Director of Public Prosecution, Gbemiga Adaramola, told the court that the victim left home because she was being maltreated by her stepmother.
Adaramola said the victim met the convict “who promised to take care of her.”
He added that a good samaritan had seen blood stains on the clothe of the victim and took her to Ijero Lo=cal Government Immigration office where the case was reported.
The accused was later arrested by immigration officers after the case had been filed at the Ijero police station.
The Cable reports that seven witnesses were presented during the trial.
Exhibits including a statement of the victim and the convict, as well as a medical report which proved the rape, were tendered as evidence in court.

After listening to both counsels, the presiding Judge, Oluwatoyin Abodunde, reportedly found Ayodele guilty of rape and abduction as charged and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
