A poor, disabled man in India has become an Internet sensation after he saved money from what he gets from begging for two years to buy his daughter a dress she had always wished to have.

Indian Times reports that the dotting father, Kawsar Hossain, who became incapacitated after he lost his right hand in an accident 10 years ago and caters for his family through what he gets from begging, managed to save the money for the whole of two years and after getting the dress for his daughter, he had to borrow a phone to take his daughter a photo.

The Times report has it that Hossain's demonstration of his unconditional love and dedication to his daughter was captured by an Indian photographer, GMB Akash, who shared the touching story on social media to describe what it means to be a parent.

In the heartbreaking story, as narrated by Hossain, he survived a car crash 10 years ago but lost his hand, which had to be amputated. He adds that he makes a living as a beggar on the streets.

Hossain reveals that while he was able to save the money for two years, it was not easy, as he and his daughter would sometimes go home empty handed.

On those occasions, he said, they would walk silently, unlike on those occasions when they would happily talk about their dreams after getting something from the streets.

He adds that he had to borrow a mobile phone from his neighbor so he could take a picture of his daughter in her new dress in order to make the day memorable for her.
