Sarah Kuteh

The nurse was sacked from her position for speaking to patients about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Sarah Kuteh, a nurse in the Darent Valley Hospital, located in Dartford, Kent, United Kingdom, has been sacked for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to her patients.

Kuteh, whose job responsibility is to ask patients about their religion before entering surgery stated that she felt embarrassed when she was asked to leave her job.

Speaking to the Daily Mail News about the incident, she said, “It was embarrassing for me and painful after all I had done in my years as a nurse.

“I was told I couldn’t even speak to my colleagues. All I had done was to nurse from my heart. How could it be harmful to tell someone about Jesus?

“I may have spoken to a few patients without their express permission when I first began the job, but I was more careful after a warning in April 2016 that there had been complaints.

“In June, I was ‘shocked’ when they told me that three further complaints had been made, after which I was told to stop assessing patients and was suspended a few days later.

“I was sacked in August after an investigation, and my appeal rejected but I am still suing the hospital for unfair dismissal because my sack was disproportionate and punitive.”

Her claim of unjust dismissal was however refuted by her superior at the Dartford and Gravesham National Health Service.

It was alleged that she had spoken to patients who did not welcome her conversation.
