The anti-terrorism squad of the Bauchi State Police Command has foiled a jail break at the Federal Prison Bauchi.
The Bauchi State Police command has revealed that it successfully averted a jailbreak at the Federal Prison Bauchi on September 9.

The Bauchi state Commissioner, Alhaji Zaki Ahmed, made the disclosure during a briefing with newsmen on the activities of the command.
He said that one, Mahmud Tanimu, said to be the mastermind behind the jailbreak has been arrested.
According to Ahmed, Tanimu had concluded plans with his accomplices to break his brother, who was remanded in the prison, out.
Ahmed explained that Tanimu's brother whose name was not mentioned is currently standing trial on charges of alleged terrorism.

The CP said that the command had dispatched its anti-terrorism squad following intelligent reports, who had foiled the plans.
The police subsequently arrested Tanimu.
