The Eze Ndigbo of Malaysia has been reported death in mysterious circumstances two months after his coronation.
Barely two months after his coronation, the Eze Ndigbo of Malaysia, Chief Izuchukwu Nwajiaku, has died in what can be described as mysterious circumstances.

The shocking announcement on the demise of Chief Nwajiaku was carried by the Igbo Union in Malaysia, he was a successful businessman who was into exporting of goods into Nigeria.
Chief Nwajiaku was coronated in August 2016 but just as he was settling down to pilot the affairs of the Igbos in the Asian country, he gave up the ghost after a brief illness on Sunday, October 23, 2016.

This is how the Union posted the news on its Facebook wall:
"On behalf of Igbo Union Malaysia (IUM), Nigeria Community in Malaysia, I extend my sincere condolences to the Igbo Community and all Nigerians on the loss of a fellow Igbo son, brother and father, Chief Izuchukwu Nwajiaku (Onwa na Ozubulu).
May his soul rest in peace. Amen.

A personal friend of the late Chief Nwajiaku, Nadis Justin Emechebe, also took to his Facebook wall to post his condolences:
"I couldn’t believe he is gone when I first heard the news, so I had to make a proper verification before making a condolence post because he is one of the greatest Igbo man in Malaysia and he was crowned the Eze Ndi Igbo in Malaysia this year."

"With my heart full of sorrow and despair, I personally announces the untimely and sudden death of our brother, father, husband and friend Eze ndi Igbo na Malay, Chief Izuchukwu Nwajiaku, Afu enyi amalu enyi na Ozubulu, Ogalanya a na eli ego ya o na eme.
Rest in Peace Onwa.”
The multimillionaire Chief Nwajiaku is survived by a wife and three children.
