Michael Okorie was rescued along with two of his children, in addition to thirteen people who were taken while on board a commercial vehicle.
The Deputy Comptroller of Prisons, DCP Michael Okorie, along with two of his children, have been rescued by the Rivers State Police Command.
This was disclosed by Omoni Nnamdi, the command's Public Relations Officer, who mentioned that thirteen other people were also rescued.
The rescue mission was successful following a heavy gun battle between the abductors and some police operatives.
