Open Doors: BRMC brings new opportunities for broadcast journalists

Young journalists who wish to get a head start on their careers as well as stay ahead of their contemporaries must take advantage of the BRMC programme.

Young broadcast journalists who wish to expand their knowledge in the profession as well as get more training and networking opportunities and anyone who wishes to pursue a career in journalism, now have the chance to register for the 2016 edition of the Broadcast Radio Master Class (BRMC), a training programme and seminar meant to guide and prepare them for the task ahead.

According to the organisers of the programme, the BRMC which will hold on October 22, 2016, at the Best Western The Island Hotel, Ahmadu Bello Way, Lagos, at 9am, will be a full-day conference comprising a variety of seminars, hands-on skills sessions and lectures, with the aim of providing practical advice for getting into and getting on in the radio industry.

 

In a press release, the organizers of the program said:

"The one-day intensive workshop gives the participants the opportunity to connect and network with established media practitioners, ask relevant questions and most importantly, learn the basics of their intended career.

The facilitators are seasoned, tested and professional broadcasters, Voice Coaches and Media Personalities from the biggest radio stations in Lagos, including Pulse.ng's Editor-In-Chief, Osagie Alonge, as one of the facilitators."

"Nigeria’s broadcast media is fast embracing the digital space through online radio platforms, podcasts, and Vlogs.
