A member of the House of Representatives representing a federal constituency in Kano state has had two men who criticized him on social media arrested.
A member of the House of Representatives representing Dala Federal Constituency of Kano State, Hon. Ali Madaki, is in the news for the wrong reasons after he was accused of ordering the arrest of two men, Kamalu Salisu Jibrin and Adamu Salisu Yalwa, for allegedly criticizing him on Facebook.

According to a Facebook user, Abubakar Aminu Ibrahim, the two men who are from the same constituency with Madaki, had spoken out against the lawmaker who represents them but the honourable did not take the criticism in good faith and ordered that the men should be arrested and charged to court for exercising their freedom of speech.

This is what Ibrahim wrote on his Facebook wall:
"Rep. Ali Madaki representing Dala Constituency has ordered the arrest of Kamalu Salisu Jibril and Adamu Salisu Yalwa of Dala Local Government for criticizing him on FACEBOOK."
