Kidnapping: Mystery woman abducts 3-year-old boy

The unknown woman stole the boy under pretense of buying him biscuit.

An unknown woman has been reported to have kidnapped David, a 3-year-old boy on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, Adio Street in Ijanikin, Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State.

The boy was said to be returning from school with three other siblings when a fight broke between the twin among them, Charity and Rufus.

Under the guise of separating the pair from fighting, the woman took away David telling his other siblings that she wants to buy him biscuits.

The remaining siblings waited in vain for the woman to return, before proceeding home to report what had happened.

According to The Nation, the woman who abducted David had been hanging around the street for days before the incident occurred.

Bennet Obioma, a family friend to David's family narrated how the boy got kidnapped, stating that the abductor is a cruel woman.

Obioma said, “It was in the afternoon last wednesday when they were coming from school. They were four in number (his eldest sister and the twins) and they were very close to their house."

"The twins started fighting and a woman came in between them and carried the boy and said others should wait that she wants to buy biscuit for them."

 “It happened on Adio Street in Ijanikin. His mother is my church member. We have been searching for him."

"On Sunday, his father took his picture to Agbara town and one woman selling food told him that a woman came with the child and the child was uncomfortable."

"She gave the child food to eat and after a while, the woman took the child to where buses load Atan. I think they boarded a bus to Atan."

"So the father took a bike to the place. Immediately he got there, an Okada rider told him that he was the one that carried the woman and the child to one place."

"The man, accompanied by otherOkada riders, searched the place the woman alighted but they could not find them.  They have reported to Ijanikin Police Station.”

Meanwhile, the police officers at the Ijanikin Police Station have been condemned for their work attitude, as they were reported to have done nothing since the case was reported.

Ugochukwu Steven Okoli, the father of the abducted boy was sent on an errand to buy fuel by the police officers on the day he went to collect a police report.
