The two guards arrested along with the ex-policeman were employed by the company based on his recommendation, report says.
SP Muyiwa Adejobi, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, has confirmed the arrest of an ex-policeman, Tunde, and two security guards of Flour Mills Nigeria Limited, for burglary.
According to Punch, the ex-policeman and the guards, Sulaiman and Ola, were accused of stealing building construction.
The suspects were arrested on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, after a report at the Onipanu Police Division, Lagos State.

A worker at the company, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, gave an account of the incident.
He said, “Flour Mills employed the two guards to secure its new branch in Atan which is under construction.”
“The company relied on Mr. Tunde’s recommendation of the guards because he was an ex-policeman. He resigned from the Force many years ago.”
“For some months now, materials like iron rods worth thousands of naira had been missing. The case was reported to the police after the key of the store where the materials were kept was broken, and the three of them were arrested.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the story reported that the suspects are being investigated for theft.
