A middle-aged man who repeatedly raped his 15-year-old daughter has been arrested by the police in Lagos after being on the run for some days.
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a middle-aged man, Uchenna Tony Ehumadu, who has been on the run since the police declared him wanted for allegedly raping his 15-year-old daughter and giving her drugs to prevent pregnancy.

The police had last week, declared Ehumadu wanted after his wife reported that he has been sleeping with his daughter for a long time, with the State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, mandating his men to make sure the suspect is fished out and made to face the full wrath of the law.
After being on the run for a few days, the long arm of the law finally smoked him out from his hideout.

The police, in a statement posted on its Twitter account, said Ehumadu was arrested after a serious manhunt, with the officers using all intelligence at their disposal.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, has confirmed the arrest of the suspect:
“The victim said that her father, on countless occasions wakes her up in the middle of the night to rape her, mostly when her mother is on night duty.
The mother is a casual worker in one of the outfits attached to the airport. On the night of September 19, the mother discovered the suspect having intercourse with the victim and raised the alarm and one of their neighbours reported the case to the police.”
