A man has been arrested after he chained his own son and hid him inside the house for two months.
A middle aged man, Akanbi Yusuf, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command, after he chained his 35-year-old son, Yusuf, for two months and hiding him in his house in the Dopemu area of the state.

By th time the victim was rescues, his hands were already decaying as a result of injuries he sustained from the iron chains.
In his defence during his interrogation, the older Lawal said his son had been disgracing him and brining shame to the family and that was why he had him chained so as not to let him out.
Respite came for the victim when his close friend, Tayo Olukoju, discovered him in the room where he was hidden by his father after he had been declared missing by the father.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Supol Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the incident, adding that the victim has been taken to a general hospital where he is receiving treatment while the father will be charged to court after investigations.
