Another Nigerian man has been killed by South African police officers after he was arrested for allegedly trafficking in drugs.
A few days after a Nigerian man, Kingsley Ikeri, was reportedly killed by policemen in South Africa, another Nigerian businessman, Clement Ofoma, has been killed, the Nigerian Union in that country reports.
The 35-year-old Ofoma, according to reports, was allegedly tortured to death by police officers who stormed his shop at Springs town, near Johannesburg on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, to arrest him for allegedly trafficking drugs and banned substances.

Confirming the death of Ofoma, his family members say after he was arrested, he was taken to a police station where he was tortured severely till he passed out and struggled to breathe, and later died after he was rushed to a hospital.
It was gathered that Ofoma, a native of Obosi in Idemili North Local Government of Anambra State, had been living and doing his business in South Africa for over 10 years.
The family also debunked a statement by the South African Police that Ofoma had resisted arrest and that the police officers used cellophane bag to cover his face while he was being tortured.
The Nigerian community in South Africa which condemned the killing of Ofoma, has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to step into the matter as a matter of urgency and stop the incessant killing of Nigerians by their South African hosts including the police.
