This popular Nigerian transgender has come out to denounce a man who is claiming to be her father, saying the only parent she knows is her mother.

Nigerian first transgender, Sahhara Henson, popularly called Miss Sahhara, has officially disowned and disclaimed a man who gave an interview saying he was her father and would receive her bride price from any man who wants to marry her.

Miss Sahhara, who was born as a man and christened Clifford Oche in Benue State, reacted to the video interview conducted by Idoma TV with the man, Chief Agbo Ella who said he was her father and very proud of her her, said the man is not her father as the only parent she knew was her mother.

In the video, Chief Ella, a retired lecturer, had said that he did not care what people said of his son-turned daughter and was proud of who she is but the London-based Miss Sahhara swiftly did an Instagram video denouncing the man, saying she does not look like the said man in the video.

In the video captioned 'DISCLAIMER: MY FATHER IS MY MOTHER!', Miss Sahhara held the video of her mother, saying she does not know the man alleged to be her father in the said video.

She also claimed that her mother is a single mother, who is also her father and a super hero, and went through a lot of pains to bring her and her siblings up, adding that there was anyone claiming to be her father, that person was not a 'good father'  and as such, was never in her life.

She said in the Instagram video:

"This is a disclaimer in response to the rubbish publications about my so called ‘father’. Anyone can make a baby, but not everyone can be a parent.

Pay my tuition, feed me, console me when I was bullied in school, band-aid my injuries, nurse me when I was sick, put me to bed at night, put a roof over my head, have my back no matter what, love me unconditionally and be the source of constant wisdom.

All of the above was done by one woman, my superhero, my darling, beautiful mother whom I look, sound, act like!

Pure carbon copy of the crazy woman and I love and adore her to the moon and beyond. Claiming someone is yours doesn’t make it true!

Nigerian bloggers are so gullible. I find it disrespectful to my mother that someone else is claiming to be my parent; my mom is my only parent and is the only one that knows my truth apart from me."

This is not the first time Miss Sahhara and her father would be at logger's heads as the man had earlier said she was not his daughter since she decided to have a sex-change. But the rift between father and daughter/son was settled by community members and he rescinded his decision and accepted her back.
