The alleged drug baron linked to the massacre in a Catholic Church in Anambra State has visited victims of the attack in hospitals.
Victims of the mindless massacre at the St. Philip Catholic Church in Ozubulu, Anambra State on August 6, 2017, were thrown into joy when the alleged drug baron linked to the attack, Chief Aloysius Ikegwuonu also known as Bishop, paid them a visit in the hospitals where they are recuperating.
According to one of Bishop's media aides who posted photos of the visit on Facebook, Ikegwuonu returned to the country from his base in South Africa and the first place he went to was to visit the injured victims who are still recuperating in different hospitals in Ozubulu and other parts of the state.

"Chief flew into the country yesterday from his base in South Africa because he has been very worried about the rumours going around and the people who were attacked.
As a philanthropist, he could not just sit back and allow his people to suffer the pains alone, so he visited them in the hospitals and took the time to commiserate with them one after the other.
He also visited the families of the people who have lost their loved ones and has promised to pay the medical bills of the injured as well as compensation to the families of the dead," the aide said.
Recall that gunmen had stormed the church said to have been built and donated to the Nnewi Diocese by Bishop, where they killed 11 people and injured more than 30.
It was later revealed by the state Governor Willie Obiano that the shooting was a fall out of a drug war involving Bishop and another member of the community based in South Africa following a business that had gone wrong.

It was also rumoured that the gunmen had trailed Bishop's vehicle to the church but when he could not be found, they opened fire indiscriminately on the worshippers, killing many of them including Bishop's father who was said to have driven his car to the church.
