A Nigerian doctor in the UK has been suspended for one year after he pestered a female patient.

A Nigerian doctor in the UK, Dr Chris Uzoh has been banned for a year for sending a patient with unsolicited texts and love advances.

The 40-year-old doctor sent text messages to a patient after he obtained her contact details from medical records according to Daily Mail.

He sent her 20 text messages. Uzoh spent six weeks pursuing the woman and bragging about being 'good-looking guy' and also said he had 'huge earning potential'. He also made more claims to her.

After thirty minutes of having a medical appointment with her, Dr. Chris Uzoh sent her a text message. "Sorry for this text message but I saw you and liked you and thought we could go on a date on the future. ‘I am single and looking for a serious relationship and not intending to mess about" read the mesage.

He didn't stop there. He sent her a voice message saying he wanted to hear her voice before she went to work. This was followed by another text which read "I’ve been feeling like a schoolboy meeting a girl he fancied for the first time. I haven’t felt this way in a while."

Dr. Chris Uzoh turned up the heat by sending her flowers and a card with the message "I wonder how else I would have met you if not this way. ‘My heart is pure, I care, I hope it would be possible to make you mine some day."

The unidentified lady told the doctor to stop pestering with messages and calls. Uzoh didn't stop and the patient eventually reported him to his colleagues at the Murdishaw Health Centre in Runcorn. His behaviour was subsequently reported to General Medical Council who banned him for a year.

The father of two who is now in Toronto, Canada.
