A suspected member of a robbery gang that has been terrorising residents of Lokoja was found dead hanging on a fence.
It was a strange sight when a house owner woke up to meet an alleged member of an armed robbery gang hanging dead on her fence in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

According to a Twitter user, Gbenga Olorunpomi with the handle, @GbegaGOLD, the woman was preparing to go to work in the morning when she met the sight and raised an alarm to attract neighbours and other residents of the area.
It was gathered that the dead suspect must have been part of a gang who had gone to rob the house but as he was trying to jump over the fence, he was shot by a vigilante member in the area and he died on the spot while his gang members ran away leaving the corpse behind.

This is what Olorunpomi posted on her Twitter handle:
"This unfortunate fellow got the (last) shock of his life while jumping over the fence to rob a house in Lokoja last night. Can't even laugh."
