A 29-year-oldman, Henry Eze, was on Thursday arraigned in a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, on a five count-count charge, bordering on conspiracy, attempted murder, kidnapping, breach of public peace and assault.

The prosecutor, Insp. Roman Unuigbe, had told the court that the defendant and one other still at large, committed the offences on March 15, about 5 p.m. at Ilogbo Eremi, Lagos
He said the accused and his accomplice, a naval officer, held one Adebayo Adeyemi against his will, inside the boot of a Mercedes Benz ‘C’ Class with Reg. No. KTU197 EP.
Unuigbe alleged that the accused tortured Adeyemi with an iron rod, before dumping him inside the boot of his car and drove him round for hours until he became unconscious.
