The PDP chieftain has taken a swipe at the acting President for saying that President Muhammadu Buhari treats him like a son at his age.

Former Minister of Aviation and an avowed critic of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led Federal Government, Femi Fani-Kayode has mocked the acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo over his comments that President Muhammadu Buhari treats him like a son.

Fani-Kayode or FFK as he is popularly called, has been having a running battle with the APC and its leaders and makes sure he attacks anything they do, either good or bad and this time, he picked on the 60-year-old acting President after he made the comment about President Buhari who is 74-years-old, just 14 years older.

FFK who was the first ever Special Assistant on Public Affairs to President Olusegun Obasanjo when he came into power in 1999, was reacting to the comments Prof. Osinbajo made when he paid a courtesy call to the Emir of Katsina, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abdulmumin Usman, on Thursday, May 2017.

During the visit, Prof. Osinbajo had said:

“I feel very much at home in Katsina. Moreso, because this is the state of the President who has taken me as a brother; in fact, the President has taken me as a son in the way he treats me.

I pray the Lord will preserve our President to continue to lead, as the nation has voted him to do. He seriously believes in Nigeria unity.”

But a swift reaction, FFK, who was also made Minister of Culture and Tourism by Obasanjo took to his Twitter account to pick holes in the statement, saying it is very disappointing that the acting President should make such a statement.

“The President treats me like his son and his brother” - VP. A 60-year-old man can say this? We are in trouble,” he tweeted.
