Another Nigerian businessman has been murdered by unknown gunmen in South Africa bringing the number to over 120.
Another Nigerian man has been reportedly shot dead by unknown gunmen in Cape Town, South Africa, in another case seen as another xenophobic attack.
According to the Chairman of the Central Working Committee of the Nigerian Union in South Africa (NUSA), Apostle Mike Ibitoye, the deceased identified as Chinedu Eze Tony, was shot at close range by the unidentified gunmen who ambushed him in an alley.

The murdered young man who hailed from Umuchu in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State was a hard working businessman and one of the shining lights of the Nigerian community in that country.
Here is a statement released by Apostle Ibitoye on the murder of Tony:
"It is so sad to announce the murder of Mr. Chinedu Eze Tony. According to an eyewitness, he was shot dead at close range by unknown gunmen at Belleville, Cape Town on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at about 7 pm.

He was a self-employed cellular and electronics vendor and he lives in Good Wood. He was from Umuchu in Aguata LGA in Anambra State. He is survived by a daughter Ijeoma.
Investigations are going on at the murder scene. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace

The unprovoked murder of Tony has brought the number of Nigerians murdered in the southern African country to about 120 in the past two years with many of the murders unresolved till date.
