The young man who committed suicide by jumping into a canal in Festac town left a tweet where he said he was tired of life.
The young man who committed suicide by jumping into the canal under the Festac-Amuwo Odofin link bridge on Saturday, April 8, 2017, actually left a suicide note on his Twitter handle where he said his family and friends let him down by thinking he was mad.

The man who has been identified as Ahmed Lawal Bayode, an Industrial and Applied Chemistry graduate of the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, was said to be suffering from psychological issues with his family members thinking he had gone insane while his friends deserted him.
On the day he allegedly committed suicide, he was said to have been riding in a friend's car when he suddenly got down and began rolling on the ground.
Just as his friend and other passersby tried to get a hold of him, he started running towards the bridge where he climbed the barricade and jumped into the canal.
