A married woman who is nursing a three-month-old baby has been charged before a court in Lagos for slashing the face and breast of her boyfriend's lover.
A married woman, Tina Promise, has ben arrested and charged an Igbosere Magistrates' Court sitting in Lagos State for allegedly using a razor blade to slash the face and breast of one Esther Onogwu whom she accused of dating her man friend.
Total Media reports that the 20-year-old Promise who is a mother of three including a three-month-old baby, attacked Onogwu, 22, a cleaner at Eko Hotel because she suspected she (Onogwu) was sleeping with her boyfriend.

It was gathered that Promise who reside with her family at No. 71b, Molade Okoya Thomas Street, Victoria Island, had accosted Nwogu on Monday, February 6, 2017, at 9:20 pm, on a street on Victoria Island and attacked her with the blade after accusing her of snatching her boyfriend from her.
The prosecuting police officer, Sergeant Francesca Job told the court presided by Magistrate A. F. Botoku, that the accused was facing a one-count charge of unlawful assault.
“On the day of the incident, the victim was on her way home after closing of work when the defendant approached her and demanded the key to her room.
Onogwu asked who the defendant was and why she needed the key to her house, but the defendant suddenly brought out a razor blade and started cutting her on her head and left breast.
She then tried to leave but passersby apprehended her and asked her to take the victim to the hospital for treatment, but she refused, saying she didn’t have money to pay for the treatment.”
Sergeant Job added that it was the passersby that took Onogwu to the Bar Beach Police Station from where she was taken to a hospital.

When the charge was read to the suspect, she pleaded not guilty and Magistrate Botoku granted her bail in the sum of N200,000 bail with one surety in the like sum, while adjourning the case to March 1, 2017, for hearing.
