You Know I'm Just Joking by Ayomide Tayo: Feminazis should please sit down and leave feminism alone

Feminazis should stop using feminism as a shield when a public female figure is criticised.

I really promised myself that I would not tweet about the 'men are scum' movement or react to any of the "let's kill all the men" tweets this year but I guess promises are meant to be broken.

This morning, Monday, January 23, 2017, I stumbled upon a tweet that not only made a mockery of feminism but also turned a blind eye to corruption.

A woman on the micro-blogging platform said the reason why the former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke is getting a lot of bad press and is accused of embezzling public funds is because she is a woman.

This is the flimsiest excuse I have ever heard in my life. It's appalling to see someone use feminism to shield a woman who was a major player in perhaps Nigeria's most corrupt and ineffective federal government.

I have observed that feminazis jump on the feminist movement to spew their gender-hating philosophy. You might know this philosophy as "men are scum" or "we should kill all the men."

These feminazis who are really the perverted versions of true feminists have also started using the great movement as a baton to bash anyone who criticises a female public figure who messes up.

It is the new racial card. We have had cases of African-Americans breaking the law and hiding under the racial umbrella. This is the same with feminazis who think they can hijack feminism with their belittling sentiments.

No one is above law, even women. If the former Minister of Petroleum is guilty she should face the law.

Feminazi sentiment should be thrown into the garbage because it is cancer to feminism.

Feminism is all about the equality of sexes, feminazis are just on Twitter spreading their hate and anti-male beliefs. This is the difference.

I am sorry but you cannot hate men because Tunde or Chinedu failed to call you back. That my dear is not feminism. It is just you jumping on a noble movement to get revenge.

Hurling abuse and insults will get you nowhere. Blaming men for your mistakes won't achieve anything. Not every man is out there to drag a women in power. Let's call a spade a spade. If she is wrong she is wrong. If she is corrupt she is corrupt. There is nothing patriarchal about that.
