2017 is already shaping up to be a great year.
There were a lot of annoying things about 2016 but one of the things that riled me up was the eternally stupid "men are scum" movement.
In a nutshell, the "men are scum" movement was primarily made up of bitter women who made bad decisions in their love lives and from the pain of heartbreak they bounded together and decided to throw slurs at all men (including their fathers and brothers).
In essence, these women became what they hated initially- gender bashing, ignorant human beings spewing female orchestrated misogyny targeted at men, all over Twitter.
They blamed their woes on the entirety of men across the world instead of looking inwards to find out why they made blatantly bad decisions in the first place.
Yes, you could say that they got their hearts broken by conniving men, but the truth is that these 'men are scum ladies' knew they were dating two-timers. Unfortunately, they somehow convinced themselves they could change them. How wrong.
For the majority of 2016, these ladies ravaged Twitter with their hate. If a tree fell in Kanfachan, they would type "men are scum." If a man caught his wife cheating, they would twist the narrative and say "men are scum." When Jhene Aiko was exposed for her adulterous way, they still stood beside her and said: "men are scum."
This stupid mantra continued until the last hours of 2016. A miracle happened. These women who swore they would never open their legs to men again (which was a bloody lie. Body count was still going way up) ditched the men are scum movement.
In the last few days of 2016, these cold-hearted women got engaged. What a wow. Who knew they had boyfriends in the first place? So a man could deal with all the gender bashing nonsense? And they say there are no good men in the world again.
They said marriage was a social construct but now that theory has fallen to the wayside.
As these sisters became engaged they went from Rihanna the savage, to the Proverbs 31 woman. Ah, who knew along that a ring would cure them of their madness.
Like some good old men say, the cure for a woman's madness is a ring. With rings on their fingers now, these our big sisters immediately resigned from the 'men are scum' club.
When confronted by their u-turn manoeuvre, they claimed that the movement was a joke from the beginning. Yeah right, and Arsenal would win the league this season.
Just like that, the men are scum failed to make it into 2017. What a mighty God we serve. Oh, the movement has scattered but there are still a few still angry at all men. Don't worry dear sisters, the lord will provide your own mumus oops...I mean husbands for you.
