Alternative Facts is the new 'buzzword' that is on everyone's lips now.
Within a week, alternative facts did not exist. Today, its a trending concept on millions of sites and blogs all across the world.
It has left the world of politics to other spheres of life. Yesterday, January 26, 2017, Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho gave the world a dose of his own alternative facts.
The enigmatic coach refused to accept that his team lost to Hull in the ELF Cup. He told pressmen that the match ended in a draw and he did not see Hull's first goal which was a penalty.

It can be seen that alternative facts is a phenomenon. Where did it come from and what is it exactly?
It's hardly any surprise that alternative facts is a creation of the Donald Trump administration. Hardly one month into his administration, the President of the United States is already skewing the facts to suit his narrative.
On Saturday, January 21, 2017, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer told the press that their reports on the number of people who attended Trump's inauguration were wrong. He claimed that more people attended Trump's inauguration more than Obama's. Of course, this wasn't the truth. Obama had more people at his inauguration than Trump.
Later on, Kellyanne Conway who is Trump's campaign strategist and counselor defended Spicer's claim. "Don't be so overly dramatic about it, Chuck. You're saying it's a falsehood, and ... our press secretary, Sean Spicer, gave alternative facts to that" she told NBC's Chuck Todd on Meet The Press.
This is how the phrase was born. Of course, Conway got a lot of backlash for the ugly term she created. Unfortunately, the word has refused to die down.
Expect alternative facts to be a common feature of the Trump administration.
