A series of bloody attacks have left at least 18 people dad and several others injured.
No less than 18 farmers have reportedly been hacked to death by unknown assailants at Dan-anacha in Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba on Sunday, December 18, 2016.
The attack is reportedly one of a number of bloody attacks which have occurred in the state, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

According to the reports, most of the farmers were reportedly hacked to death in their farms.
Confirming the shocking incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr David Misal, said that the police would soon release the actual number of casualties in the attack.
“Actually, I cannot lie to you there are casualties, but we will release the figures later after we might have finish combing the area.
“It was an undercover attack by some unidentified people in the area,” Misal said.
Misal revealed that the police will be searching for the culprits behind the dastardly act by gathering intelligence.
Acting Chairman of Concerned Taraba Tiv Youth Frontier, Mr Dooior Torkula, said that a total of 18 persons were killed in separate attacks, adding that the frontier recovered 12 corpses in Dan-Anacha not long after the attacks.
The Chairman said that four bodies were recovered from the Borno- Kruku road on the outskirts of Dan-Anacha, while another two were recovered in their farms.

Torkula alleged that the assailants broke into the homes of their victims and murdered them in their sleep. He added 18 suffered severe injuries.
He said that the bodies were recovered at about 3 am on Sunday, adding that calm had returned to the area following the arrival of armed mobile policemen.
Punch reports that the policemen are currently patrolling the area to enforce law and order.
