Iyuadoo Tor-Agbidye can now heave a sigh of relief

It has been celebration in the home of a female journalist who was rescued from kidnappers in Benue State four days after she was abducted.

The female journalist abducted by gunmen some few days ago in Benue State, Iyuadoo Tor-Agbidye, has been regained her freedom after four days in the kidnappers’ den.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that Tor-Agbidye’s was rescued by men of the State Police Command on Tuesday, November 6, 2016, with no ransom paid by her family.

 

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Moses Yamu, who confirmed the release of the Radio Benue Editor whose husband is the FCMB Zonal manager in the state, reunited with her family after she was released in the early hours of Tuesday.

ASP Yamu explained that police investigations revealed that the kidnappers might have had strong connection with the family, disclosing that some arrests had been made in connection with the crime, stressing that investigations were ongoing to ensure full punishment of the culprits.
