Tribune reports that Luka murdered the lady identified Simi Dusu, after her younger sister, Justina who is his girlfriend, had informed that she was two-months pregnant and that Luka was responsible.

While parading the suspect, the State Commissioner of Police, Babatunde Ogunyanwo, disclosed Justina who lived with Simi at the Bukuru Low-cost Estate, had told her sister that Luka was responsible for her pregnancy, prompting the elder sister to go with her to the suspect's house to inform him and also get to hear from him.

According to Oguyanwo, while the two women were in Luka's room, he asked Simi to leave and was left alone with Justina and in the process, an argument ensued between them over the pregnancy.

The angry Luka allegedly picked a machete and attacked his pregnant girlfriend. It was her cries for help that brought her sister rushing into the room and the suspect overpowered them and inflicted cuts on them

The commotion alerted neighbours who forced open Luka's door and rescued both women who were barely breathing.
