INTRODUCING THE DELTAKONNECT SME WEEK 2016 ~ iDoPub Naija

The "Deltakonnect SME Week" is billed to be an annual event in Delta State, Nigeria. The purpose of the event is to promote the development of small and medium-scale enterprises in media, entertainment, fashion, ICT, agriculture, service sectors and so on. The "Deltakonnect SME Week" aims to create an awareness of the various business opportunities available to young people in Delta State. The Incredible Production (TIP) itself is a grassroots business that gets the social and economic pulse of the streets and one thing very clear is that the economic situation we find ourselves in presently as a nation calls for creativity and ingenuity on the part of young people.
We have a country where more than 75 percent of its populations are thirty and below and with opportunities for traditional jobs in the public and established private sectors dwindling, the prospects of social chaos are huge if we don't start thinking outside the box. For us, we do not see it as a problem, but only as a challenge. Promoters of our business are indigenous Deltans who believe charity has to start from home. It is our mission to project the young people of Delta State as national models. Necessity is the mother of invention, so let's start thinking how to create businesses for ourselves and employ ourselves, rather than wait cap in hand for government or engage in crime.
It would be a 4-day programme starting from Thursday, the 1st of December, 2016 to Sunday, the 4th of December 2016. Participants would be youth leaders from every ward, Local Government and senatorial district of the state invited for the occasion. Events shall include a workshop and programme of intensive business development training, a symposium, an exhibition and then the final day would be a concert, but also with a business and charity theme. The venue is Manuex Place, 209A Jakpa Road, Effurun – Warri, Delta State.

MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE SME WEEK?

· To inform entrepreneurs about support available at FG, State, Regional and Local level.

· To encourage more people to become entrepreneur.

· To aid existing and potential entrepreneurs financially via business loans and grants.

· To groom, mentor, and promote existing and potential entrepreneurs.

· Students.

· Traders.

· Photographers, videographers.

· Existing and potential entrepreneurs.

· Talents and interested persons in modeling, dance, acting, comedy, music, music instrument, make-over.

· Art, craft, and fashion designers.

· Bloggers, web designers, and developers.

· Fish, livestock, and palm oil farmers.

· Business organization and business support providers.

· Public authorities, educational institutions.

We are an outstanding entertainment and media business specializing in harnessing youth talent and energy in music, spoken word, dance, performing arts and entertainment generally. The company is also involved in media and event marketing, products branding, artiste promotion and the positive projection of Nigerian culture nationally and internationally.

Registration ends by 16:00 hours on 25th November, 2016 by which time all intending participants are expected to have paid, sent in their application emails or called the number indicated, note that forms are limited and it's based on first come first served.
