At least 120 youths have been arrested for various crimes within the space of one week.
The Delta State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Peter Mrakpor has revealed that at least 120 youths have been arrested over allegations of rape, cultism and other related offences.

Mrakpor made the disclosure while speaking with the executive members of the Asaba, Effurun and Udu branches of the Nigeria Bar Association on Thursday, October 6.
The 120 suspects reportedly committed the crimes within the space of one week.
Urging members of the association to join hands with the state in its fight against crime, Mrakpor added that he would support Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s resolve in fighting for just, credible, and efficient legal reforms.
Speaking on the ongoing capacity building and computerisation of the Delta State Ministry of Justice, Mrakpor revealed that over 250 laptops had been provided to legal officers, equipping them with modern tools for research purposes.

“The state chapter of the Nigeria Bar Association will partner with the state government to ensure the promotion of the rule of law and good governance in an atmosphere of peace and security,” he said.
