A suspected armed robber was lynched to death in the Dansoman suburb of Karikari last week after a failed attempt to rob a fire service officer in the area.

Speaking to Pulse.com.gh, Joe Asare, long time resident narrated how the robber met his end.
"The guy broke into the fire service officer's room armed with a machete but the intended victim was hiding behind a door after he had been awoken by the noise. He struggled with the robber and managed to disarm him with an electronic taser he had with him."
Residents confirmed to Pulse.com.gh that the dead robber had evaded capture several times by hiding in the Opetekwei-Glefe area with other suspected thieves.
