Two brothers who were pushed by greed and wanted a herbalist to double N18 million for them have ended up the losers.
A 70-year-old herbalist popularly called 'Babalawo', Alidu Afolabi, has been arraigned before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State, for allegedly defrauding two of his clients of N18 million.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that Afolabi, a native of Aba Paanu, Ilebu area of Ibadan, was arraigned on a two-count charge of obtaining money under false pretenses and stealing from his clients who are brothers.
The police prosecutor handling the case, Inspector Sunday Ogunremi, had told the court that the herbalist obtained the money from Rasheed and Dauda Alimi, under the pretext of doubling same for them.
“Afolabi collected the money from the two brothers who allegedly wanted him (Afolabi) to perform money-making rituals for them and under false pretense to double the money for them,” Inspector Ogunremi said.
The prosecutor noted that the offense contravened sections 390 (9) and 419 of the Criminal Code Cap 38, Vol. II, Laws of Oyo State 2000.

When the charge was read to the accused, he pleaded not guilty and the Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Abiona Richard, granted him bail in the sum of N9 million with two sureties in like sum, before adjourning the case till November 21, 2016, for a mention.
