A 35-year-old man has been arrested in Niger State for allegedly abducting a teenage girl and repeatedly raping her throughout the night.
The Niger State Police Command has arrested a 35-year-old man, Mohammed Dan Abass, for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl identified as Ramatu Mohammed.

Vanguard reports that Abass, a resident of Barkin Saleh area of Minna, the state capital, has met the victim while she was searching for money she had lost promised to give her the exact amount.
He was alleged to have lured Mohammed into his room on the pretext of giving her the money but immediately she entered his room, he shut the door and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
The suspect then held the girl hostage and forced her to pass the night at his residence, where he raped her all night long, while her parents and relations searched for her.
When the girl eventually went back home the next morning, she narrated her experience to her parents who reported the matter to the police.

The police took her to their hospital where a test was conducted on her and the result showed that she had been defiled.
The suspect was later traced to his house and arrested.
