The circumstances surrounding the death of Chris Jeyibo has led to a criminal investigation according to a statement released by Koga Entertainment.
On Friday, October 7, 2016, Koga Entertainment chairman Chris Jeyibo lost his life in a ghastly motor accident when his Range Rover SUV ran into a parked trailer on Lagos/Ibadan expressway.
Today, Tuesday, October 11, 2016, the company thanked Nigerians for their love and support since the incident.
"We will like to appreciate Nigerians both at home and abroad for the outpouring of love since our chairman, Mr Chris Jeyibo passed away in an unfortunate accident," a Koga Entertainment spokesperson Abiola Omotola said in a statement.
"We are overwhelmed with the love, calls, visits and empathy expressed by thousands since he passed away. We take solace in the fact that Mr Jeyibo lived an impactful life and left behind rich memories of his goodness to all and sundry" Abiola Omotola also added.
The spokesperson asked media outlets to verify any story concerning the late entrepreneur because "the case is currently under criminal investigation."
The family is currently making burial arrangements. The family of the late Chris Jeyibo (aged parents, wife, and two children) have asked for privacy during this period.
Koga Studios was unveiled in 2011 and it quickly became a popular venue for concerts and rehearsals. In 2012, KOGA organized the TOP 10 Mics concert at Eko Hotel and Suites featuring Tuface Idibia, D'banj, Femi Kuti, Sir Shina Peters and others.
Koga Studios has also produced Nollywood movies such as 'The Visit' starring Nse Ike-Etim, Bayray Mcnwizu, Femi Jacobs and Blossom Chukwujekwu. It was premiered on August 16, 2015.
