FAAN now has new rates for its access gate

The Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria has increased the charges for its access gates by a 100 percent without prior information.

In a bid to shore up its finances in the face of the economic meltdown in the country, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has decided to increase the access gate charge for vehicles passing through by 100 percent.

The increment, endorsed by the management of FAAN, has not been explained to the public neither has any circular released before it was carried out.

So for those passing through the access gates of FAAN, the new rates which has taken effect already states that bus drivers will have to cough up N400, as against N200 previously charged, while cars and SUVs will pay N600, from the previous N300 while trucks will be charged N1000, a 100 percent increase from N500.
