The prosecutor of the case said the convict took nude photos of the victim when she was bathing and subsequently circulated them on social media.
A Circuit Court in Asamankese in the Eastern Region has convicted an 18-year old student for circulating nude photos of a lady on social media.
The court which was presided over by Ayitey Armah-Tetteh convicted Joseph Agyapong to a fine of ¢1,440. The court added that if he defaults on the fine he would be made to serve a three-month prison term.
The prosecutor of the case Augustine Beenyigi narrated that the victim is a tenant in the family house of the convict in Asamankese. The mobile phone of the victim’s elder sister was stolen in August. The victim and her sister suspected Joseph Agyepong.

After confronting Agyepong on the matter, it degenerated into an argument. In a quest to pay the victim back, Agyepong took nude pictures of the unnamed lady when she was bathing and subsequently circulated them on social media.

Someone who saw the nude images on social media confronted the victim and showed her the images. The case was reported to the police. The accused person was arrested and he confessed to the crime after which he was arraigned.
Agyepong has also been bonded to be of good behaviour for 12 months and could be jailed for up to 12 months if he goes contrary to the bond.
