The deaths of a man and his wife inside their farm in Ebonyi State has thrown the community into turmoil as no one is sure how they could have died.
Questions are being asked over the mysterious circumstances surrounding the deaths of a couple, Chijioke Ani, a 36-year-old man, and his wife, Ngozi, whose dead bodies were found in their farm in the Mgbaleze Isu community in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, as many are suggesting that the couple could have been murdered and the husband hung on a tree to make it look like double suicide.

The doubts of the community members, according to reports in the Vanguard Newspaper, came as there were physical marks of violence on the body of the woman with blood gushing out of her body.
According to the reports, the couple had left for the farm but did not return home, and this prompted a search party sent out by the community, only for them to discover their bodies in the farm.
A family member of the deceased, Chief Sylvanus Ani, revealed that the couple was last seen on their way to the farm early in the morning.
“They went to the farm and did not return home. At some point, we were disturbed, so we informed other villagers, mobilised and went in search of them.
We finally found the wife, Ngozi, lying dead in a pool of blood with marks of violence all over her body, while Chijioke Ani, was found hanging from a tree,” he said.
