The explosion occurred along the Benin-Auchi express road following a petrol leak that occurred when the fuel tanker fell to the ground.
Quite a number of people have reportedly died following a tanker explosion that occurred on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, in Edo State.
According to the Daily Post, some people were burnt to death, while houses and business establishments were destroyed due to the fire that gutted the area.
