Dr Marwan Farouk made the blunder during a surgery meant to repair a hernia and remove a cyst from his patient at the private BMI Chiltern Hospital in Buckinghamshire, london.
The reports reveal that Dr Farouk removed the entire right section of the patient's testicle, asking the theatre staff to dispose of it, but refused to tell the victim.
On Wednesday, June 22, 2016, the medical Practitioners Tribunal Service ruled that Farouk had been misleading and dishonest, adding:
"As an experienced surgeon, even on a cursory examination, you must have recognised the specimen for what it was. This was a series of deliberate acts designed by you to cover up the fact you had made an error."
Dr Farouk reportedly ordered theatre staff to "chuck" the specimen or words to that effect, before he discarded it in the scraps bin.
To make matters worse, during a post-operative consultation with the patient whose identity has been withheld, on April 30, 2014, Dr Farouk attempted to cover his mistakes by telling him:
"You have a small right testicle but it won't give you any problems."
