Some of the residents who tried to help themselves to the spilling fuel were burnt to death following a fire that sprung up.
Countless persons have been burnt to death in the Kara area of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, while collecting fuel from a tanker that fell in the area.
A resulting fire from the spilling fuel led to an explosion that killed many residents of the area, report says.
According to the Daily Post, the incident happened around 4 AM on Wednesday, June 22, 2016.

It led to massive traffic congestion as the fire was said to have spread to the other lane of the expressway, where inter-state commuters were plying.
The number of deaths could not be confirmed as at the time of this report.
