Three men have been arrested and arraigned in court in Osun State for gang-raping a 16-year-old girl.
Three men whose names were given as Akinpolu Ayobami, 20, Oseni Buli, 20 and Sunday Oyedeji, 29, were on Monday, June 6, arraigned before a Modakeke Magistrates’ Court sitting in Osun State, for allegedly gang-raping a 16-year-old girl in an uncompleted building in the Oke-Dio area of Modakeke in Ife North-east Local Government Area of the state, Daily Post reports.

According to the prosecutor, Ona Glory , the suspects had lured the girl into the uncompleted building where they took turns to sexually assault her on May 9.
Ona said the accused persons were arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy and unlawful carnal knowledge of the girl, adding that the men conspired and lured the 16-year-old into an uncompleted building where they forcefully took advantage of her.
Ona added that the offence violated Section 357 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol 11, Laws of Osun, 2003.

But the accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges when they were read to them and the president of the court, Magistrate Bose Awosan granted each of them bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety each in like sum, while adjourning the case till June 22 for further hearing.
