The bus conductor and Sunday wrestled each other outside the vehicle when the latter refused to vacate the seat.
A commercial vehicle driver, Eze Gabriel, has crushed a bus passenger to death over the latter's refusal to pay the transport fare.
Punch reported that Sunday had taken the seat of a passenger who briefly stepped out of the bus to make a purchase.
It was reported that the passenger tried unsuccessfully to take back his seat as Sunday was adamant that he had a right to the seat because he had already paid some people.
Gabriel, who is the driver of the vehicle had to intervene in the matter by pulling over at Ojota, Lagos, and insisting that Sunday vacates the passenger's seat.
This also led to a physical confrontation between Sunday and the bus conductor, Okwudili Odo, who were wrestling each other outside the vehicle.

Meanwhile, some hoodlums in the area were said to have attacked the vehicle and robbed the driver of his valuables.
In the course of trying to escape the hoodlums, Gabriel crushed Sunday to death, which led to his arrest and the conductor, Odo by the police.
Gabriel, while narrating what led to the incident said, "On Monday, my vehicle was loaded with Abuja passengers and I took from Jibowu around 11pm."
"On our way to Fadeyi, a passenger angrily asked for his seat from the conductor. I asked the conductor to resolve the matter."
“We discovered that there was another passenger on the seat. The man did not have the company’s ticket, so my conductor asked him to leave the seat for its rightful owner, but he refused."
"Even other passengers persuaded him, still he didn’t listen.”
The matter has been transferred to the Lagos State Criminal Investigations Department according to Punch.
